Important: confirm with your veterinarian
This tool creates a typical schedule based on widely used veterinary guidelines (such as AAHA and WSAVA) to help you plan and remember appointments. It is not medical advice. Your vet will adapt it to your puppy's health, the vaccines they use, local disease risks and the law in your area (especially for rabies). If your puppy has already had some vaccines, bring those records — your vet may adjust the timing.
What's in the schedule
- Core vaccines — DHPP/DAPP (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza) every 2–4 weeks from about 6–8 weeks until at least 16 weeks old; rabies at 12–16 weeks depending on local law; boosters about a year later.
- Lifestyle vaccines — leptospirosis, Bordetella (kennel cough), Lyme and canine influenza, if you selected them.
- Deworming — typically every 2 weeks from 2 to 8 weeks of age (often done by the breeder or shelter), then a monthly preventive.
- Heartworm, flea and tick prevention — usually started around 8 weeks of age and given year-round.
